Craig Glassby, the owner of Australia’s quickest Top Alcohol Funny Car, will have some added support on board when the team heads east for the Winternationals.
The Monte Carlo will carry the Veem Gyro banner on behalf of the Miocevich family, along with a dedication to Gary Miocevich, who passed away in February. It is the first time since the days of Gary’s own racing that a Funny Car has carried the Veem logo.
Glassby served his drag racing ‘apprenticeship’ with Gary’s team in the 80s, leading him to eventually begin his own operation.
Glassby is aiming to step up performances into at least the 5.3s in fairly short order, with a fact finding mission to the USA before he goes to Queensland on his agenda.
