Dixon driving the Rapisarda Autosport car this weekend. He launched hard and kept it hooked up to make a great looking pass. Larry Dixon's incremental times: 60ft-0.845 sec., 330ft-2.153, 660ft-3.048/284.93 mph. Reed launched into severe tire shake as soon as he hit the throttle and clicked it off.

NHRA officials were forced to cancel the second session of qualifying on Saturday due to persistent showers and misting. Since Friday’s sessions were also cancelled, racers had only one session to qualify for Sunday’s eliminations,

NHRA forced to cancel second round of qualifying due to rain. However, they have counted the times for the 4 cars that got down the track in Q2 before they pulled the pin, resulting in Terry McMillen being bumped. Surely if a round of qualifying is only partially completed the times recorded by the cars that got a pass in cannot be counted?
Every time I think the NHRA can't get any worse, they have to prove me wrong. And they wonder why the Pro Show is struggling....

Results for Elimination Round 1

Larry Dixon has 679 round wins in Top Fuel and that is second only to Tony Schumacher's 774. Larry won here in 2009 & 2010..Brittany Force starts the day 5th in the points Dixon with the starting line advantage, but Force chases him down just past half track and take the win. Brittany Force's MOV: 0.0094 seconds (approximately 5 feet).

Brown is 7 - 2 against Force in prior events and Brown is 3 - 1 against Force in prior final rounds. Brown with a slight starting line advantage and wins it on a hole shot as they run identical E.T.s. This is a great race...Antron Brown's MOV: 0.0033 seconds (approximately 19 inches). Brown win his sixth race of the season and the second of the Countdown to the Championship. He extends his point lead and this is his 44th career Top Fuel win.

The boys have just run a 3.80 in Q1 at Dallas; waiting to see where that puts them in the field.
