Top Doorslammer racer Charlie Micali was unhurt in a devastating crash with his Duster last weekend during round one of Sydney Dragway’s Atura Championship Series.
Competing against Jeff Wilson, the Duster of Micali encroached to close to the centreline causing a lost of traction and sending the car hard into the left hand wall, before careering back across track and impacting the right wall even harder.
Fortunately Wilson was off the noise early in his run avoiding a even more serious accident as he watched Micali cross narrowly in front of his Corvette.
Micali climbed out of his once stunning Duster unharmed and hopefully we will see the machine returned to the track in the near future.
