It was a subdued APSA Pro Street show that headed to Calder Park last weekend. The relative recent return to drag racing for the venue still means it will be a while before racer numbers increase, and there was also competition from Lights Out and Powercruise in Sydney.

Detailed results are a bit thin out of Calder Park, but we can give you the class winners.

In Outlaw Extreme we reported already Rob Taylor ran his first five second pass with his Top Doorslammer Camaro (Read here – http://www.dragnews.com.au-all/local-news/3281-five-second-mad-professor.html), Taylor went on to win the class against Drago Nikodijevic’s Camaro in the final.

Another Camaro, this time Jeremy Callaghan’s won Outlaw 10.5 over Daniel Camilleri who took his Super Stock Pontiac out for a skid at the Pro Street event.

Callaghan’s awesome Outlaw 10.5 Camaro.

Mark Leake punched out a six second pass in his stunning Outlaw Radial Torana, but it was Perry Bullivant with the Snicker sponsored Camaro taking the event win over Leake.

Mick Mcgrath’s nitrous snorting Torana was too good for Craig Munro’s Commodore in Pro Street Blown.

Munro here is showing the potential of his Commodore with a mid seven second lap.

In the Pro Street Unblown class it was Tony Nicolaci’s Torana taking the W in the final against Daryl Dando’s Falcon.

S0163986

There was no Mod Street Blown class, just Unblown which was won by Daniel Sharban’s all conquering Capri over Peter Alexander’s Camaro. Caine Reed was all by himself in the X235 final with his HB Torana, in the other small tyre bracket – X275 – Tony Webb’s LJ Torana sleeper was the victor over the VN Commodore of Chris Kurumolla.

True Street was the last of the Pro Street dedicated brackets with Anthony Visintini’s wheelstanding his XD Falcon to the win against Dom D’Agostino’s LX Hatchback Torana. Cory Dyson won the all in Dial Your Own class with his dragster over Enio Marrocco’s Gemini. Also on the program was Junior Dragster that saw a battle of the Jakes. At the stripe it was Jake Berias defeating Jake Cartledge.

The next round of the APSA series will be held at Sydney Dragway on April 7th.
