Weather may have been putting a dampener on works at Hidden Valley Drag Strip but with the sun shining for a few days over the past week construction teams have been able to continue in earnest.

The start line area has started to be painted with final white markings going on later this week. Barriers near the Colosseum have been installed and additional stairs installed on the terraced hill.

“The management committee at Hidden Valley Drag Strip has been busy meeting with existing sponsors and the walls are starting to fill up with planned signage” said Hidden Valley Drag Racing Association President, Jay Jukes.

“There are still opportunities for prime signage at what will become Australia’s newest International facility.”

“Now nearing the end of construction we can really see how everything is shaping up and it is indeed a facility that all drag racers can be proud of!”

Work will be progressing over coming weeks as spectator access is refined and top soil and grass is put down.
Plans are underway for an official opening of the new facility with final dates and attractions to be released shortly.
