More than 320 racers will descend on Willowbank Raceway this month, with the Australian Pro Street Association, the ANDRA Pro Series and the Rocket All Stars Racing Series all set to head to Queensland’s premier drag racing facility.

First up will be 108 Pro Street warriors, who will take to the track for the APSA Pro Street Shootout on Saturday March 12, with racing from the Pro Street Blown and Unblown, Modified Street Blown and Unblown, Outlaw 10.5, Outlaw Radial, Dial Your Own and True Street Blown and Unblown brackets.

ASPA co-owner and racer Johnny Wilson said fans would not be disappointed by the quarter-mile show expected from the turbo and nitrous racers.

“Pro Street drag racing is all about street car enthusiasts and car lovers alike, having the chance to watch some of Australia’s fastest Pro Street cars battle it out furiously for prize money and bragging rights,” said Wilson.

“We have some serious rivalries in the ranks, providing some fantastic emotion-charged racing every time we head to the track.

“Throw in some amazing cars, the race for prize money and championship points, and you have a recipe for some pretty full-on quarter-mile action.”

The ASPA Pro Street Shootout will take place on Saturday March 12 at Willowbank Raceway, with qualifying from 12.30pm and racing from 5.00pm – for more information, please visit www.willowbankraceway.com.au

Just two weeks later, the ANDRA Pro Series brackets of Top Fuel, Top Bike and Pro Stock Motorcycle will be in full flight at Willowbank Raceway, for the Top Fuel Championships across Friday March 25 and Saturday March 26.

Six flame throwing Top Fuellers, eight nitro powered Top Bikes and ten naturally aspirated Pro Stock Bikes will be joined by 190 sportsman racers of all varieties for the two day event that forms part of the ANDRA Pro Series and Rocket All Stars Racing Series.

Willowbank Raceway Managing Director Steve Bettes said he couldn’t wait to see March in action.

“Everyone here at Willowbank Raceway is really looking forward to this month, with the Pro Streeters followed quickly by the phenomenal action of the ANDRA Pro Series,” said Bettes.

“Drag racing is just one of those sports where to be at the track, up close and personal watching these racers take to the track or work on their cars in the pits is the ultimate experience, and we are lucky enough to have two very different and impressive events in action this month.”

Tickets for the Top Fuel Championships are available now through www.willowbankraceway.com.au, and start at just $35 for adults per day, with students with ID gaining a discounted entry. Children 13 and under gain free entry to the event, which will kick off on Friday March 25 at 2.00pm with qualifying, including ANDRA Pro Series qualifying at 5.00pm, 7.00pm and 9.00pm. Saturday March 26 will see the on-track action get underway from 10.00am, with ANDRA Pro Series racing from 5.00pm and finals for all categories including the Pro racers from 9.00pm.
