The Australian Pro Street Association (APSA) is proud to announce new season points series will now start at Calder Park Raceway on the 18th of February 2012.

Due to popular demand from Victorian racers, APSA members in Victoria have done the ground work to get this event happening in Melbourne.

The series will start slightly early and a balanced spread of APSA Pro Street Meetings will take place across three states.

“A thank you must go to Dom Luppino and Tony Cusolito for starting the gears of progress in making the event an reality, a lot of effort goes into setting these meetings up. So we please meed to ask for Victorian support as we already have great interstate NSW and QLD intentions for this meeting,” said John Habib, APSA co-owner.

The APSA has also invested sponsorship money to pay for complete TV coverage of the event on ONEHD and Foxtel to provide increased exposure for sponsors and racers through the Speedweek” and “Inside Speed” programs plus ONEHD.

“We will showcase our racing for all of Australia to see and grow Pro Street even more,” Habib said.

“This is a double bonus for our racers and sponsors, as we will still be giving out respectable prize money kindly offered by Bob Jane and Calder Park Raceway.”
