Australian Drag Week has moved into its fourth day, and as racers head to Heathcote Park Raceway, mechanical woes have been the story of this year’s event.

Day two saw Louis Younis kick a rod, junking the block in his wicked nitrous LJ, so what does Louis do? – buy a block locally off Gumtree, throw it in between the rails to make it to Mildura the next day. Unfortunately changing the block is against the rules making Younis illegible to continue on in competition, but showing first class commitment to the event the team are keen to continue to show their support for the rest of the week.

Event leader Terry Seng has shown uncharacteristic vulnerability with the twin turbo VC Commodore cooking a transmission on the way to Mildura, and on track traction problems at Sunset Strip has seen his lead evaporated to just a couple of hundredths over Quentin Feast.

Check out day two and three wrap up videos by Street Machine Magazine – and further updates on their website www.streetmachine.com.au as the boys and girls roll on to Heathcote on Day 4.
