The 2010/11 ANDRA Pro Series drag racing season kicks off next weekend with the Fuchs Australian Nationals at Sydney Dragway bringing a short off-season to a close.

The Porters Racing team begins this new season coming off a solid finish to the 2009/10 year which yielded an equal 8th position result despite missing two rounds due to business commitments.
The short off-season has allowed the team to make some minor changes to the car and transporter along with taking delivery of a new generation Barbagallo engine.

To help prepare for the new season, the team had a highly successful test session at Willowbank Raceway last weekend where the Ford GT500 Mustang ran four consistent passes. With the points reset to start the new season and the biggest ever pro stock field nominated, Team Principal Paul Porter knows that the competition is only going to get tougher.

“I’m looking forward to this year. To have tested last weekend prior to the first round puts us in a more competitive position than we have been previously.Scott is also more focused after the test session and is looking forward togoing rounds in the Porters Racing Mustang.

I would like to thank our sponsors Porters Can Do and JB Automotive North Queensland along with our dedicated race crew Barry Hold, Darren Fry, Ian Fadden, Paul Anderson and Drew Prescott”.
