ANDRA Restructure – NSW information night

This article brought to you by:

A information night on ANDRA’s company restructure will be held for all ANDRA members on the 22nd February

Venue: Smithfield RSL, Corner of Cumberland Hwy & Neville St
Smithfield 2164 NSW

Time: 7pm

As we know ANDRA has been working for some time on a structural move from a South Australian based association to a National Company Limited by Guarantee. This, along with a need to review its strategic plan gained momentum in mid 2010 and work was on in earnest to make the vision a reality.

A dedicated project was established and groundwork completed. Government agencies have been consulted and appropriate processes followed to enable the change, which required a brand new ASIC compliant constitution and local government approval. This work is now ready to be presented to our members.

On the 22nd of February 2011 ANDRA and the NSW division will be conducting an information night on the new Company Structure and the strategic intent into the future. By that date all full members would have received an information pack which introduces the strategic intent for the future and explains the highlighted features of the constitution. Additionally, a complete draft of the new constitution will be available on the ANDRA website.

The intent of the night is to provide a face to face opportunity for ANDRA members to hear first hand, details of ANDRA’s strategic intent and drivers for the structural change. Featured highlights and the new constitution will be discussed along with the new board structure.

A presentation will be made followed by an opportunity for members to ask questions on any of the information covered, either in the pack or on the night.
Tony Thornton CEO of ANDRA, Greg Humphries Deputy CEO and Malcolm Bulley will be attending on the night to take part in the presentation and participate in any questions or discussion points raised. For most it will also be an opportunity to meet Greg Humphries for the first time. Greg brings with him a wealth of experience and is very keen to hear from members across the country.

These are very exciting times for ANDRA with not only a new structure but a renewed strategic vision. Members will be called upon to vote on this change and I encourage all members who want to know more or have questions to attend the night.

I am also pleased to announce the Chairman of Sydney Dragway Sam Sofi will be in attendance & will be accepting questions once the ANDRA Company Structure information pack has been covered with all the ANDRA members in attendance.

Sam is excited with having the chance to talk to the ANDRA members face to face on moving forward at SD.

Sam has been very forthcoming with information and updates in the past and I look forward to hearing from him in person.
