Team Bray Racing will be looking for not only victory but also improved personal bests at Sydney Dragway’s East Coast Thunder this weekend (November 2-3).

While Willowbank Raceway is their home track, Sydney Dragway is the venue at which both Victor Bray and Ben Bray have run their personal best results (5.861s/248mph for Victor and 5.70s/256mph for Ben).

The event will utilise a traditional elimination format, with a 16 car eliminations field to be run for the Pro Slammer class for only the third time in Australian history.

“The truck left last night and we can’t wait to follow and get going at Sydney Dragway for this weekend’s East Coast Thunder,” Victor said.

“Both Ben and I have had some great results at Sydney Dragway over the years and it is the host of our personal best results to date – how cool would it be if we can not only put on an all-Bray final for the fans and our sponsors but also improve our PBs!

“It is very exciting to also be part of only the third 16-car field run in Australia – the competition is going to be fierce this weekend and should be great to watch.”

Heading to the East Coast Thunder event – round two of the 2018/2019 400 Thunder Pro Slammer championship – Victor and Ben are currently seventh and fifth in the title standings respectively.

“It is very early days in the title chase at the moment but every event counts so you can rest assured we will be throwing everything at it this weekend,” Ben said.

“We have had some great success in Sydney before so hopefully we can put on a winning show for our fans, our sponsors, and also all the guests of Gulf Western Oil who will be hosted in our pit area over the weekend – I am sure they would like being up close and personal with the crew prep and servicing of an event-winning team.”

Also pitting with Team Bray Racing this weekend will be Kiwi Trevor Smith, who is known around New Zealand for his long smoky burnouts – much like Victor is here in Australia.

“Trevor has moved his Pro Slammer operation to TBR and is planning on competing at all of the 400 Thunder events this season. We are looking forward to having him on board with us this weekend and throughout the rest of the season,” Victor said.

The East Coast Thunder event will be held at Sydney Dragway across Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3. For full event schedules and event info, visit www.sydneydragway.com.au or www.teambrayracing.com.
