Alex Buxton made a successful debut in Competion Bike at the Winternationals by setting the AA/CBI mph national record.

Buxton piloted the Wolf Racing LAE nitrous powered Kawasaki ZX12R to 182.2mph to beat the preset 180mph record.

“That was our team goal for this weekend and we did it first pass out in qualifying, then bettered it on race day” said Buxton. “This bike might look like it use to but underneath it’s an all new power train. We’re expecting some much bigger numbers soon.”

“The team’s really excited with this new class in Competition Bike (CBI – injection)” said Dave Wolf. “It’s great ANDRA has introduced the class and we’d encourage racers with bikes like ours to support it.”

“We’ve upgraded “Little Brother” to suit the rules and we’ve also prepared Alan Gerritsen’s turbo ZX12R for this class as well.”

Buxton went on to knock out point’s leader Kemp before red lighting out.

“We need to thank a lot of people for the development of our new set up” said Wolf, “Craig Thompson Machining, Jack Brothers, Gonzo Racing Pipes, LAE Racing and Marty Steel especially. It’s great to be back racing.”

The Wolf Racing LAE Kawasaki Drag Bike team would like to thank the team’s sponsors and all the race fans for their support.
