Ryan Van Dyk’s pit area has some fun available for young spectators at the 51st annual Winternationals this weekend at Willowbank Raceway.
Van Dyk is running a reaction time competition for kids under 18 today.
“The competition will begin at 1.30pm,” he said. “Sign up to the competition is free and will commence at 1.15 pm on each day in our pit area (pit number F10, see below image). At 1.30 or once all the kids have signed up we will do seeding and the competition will commence in an elimination style format until we get a winner and runner up.
“On each day the winner will receive a Brittany Force 1/32 scale diecast model dragster and a framed poster of our Plaak Racing Dragster. The runners up on each day will receive a 1/64 scale model dragster or funny car and a framed poster of our Plaak Racing Dragster.
“The tree will be setup during the weekend for anyone to have a go and test their reaction times as well and for the kids to get their eye in before the competition starts. See you at the startline!”
