Our expansion program continues and the ALL NEW & LARGER Heathcote Park Burnout Pad is now open for business. The pad now includes a 15m long cement runway to improve entry speeds and an extension to one side of the square slab means that the pad is now an extra 25% wider.
The Liqui Moly Young Guns Burnout Series kicks off on Saturday January 28, 2012 with OVER $1000.00 IN CASH & PRIZES up for grabs on the day. Additional events have been scheduled for Saturday Feb 11, Mar 11 & Mar 24, culminating in the Series Final at our MAYHEM event over the Easter long weekend.

If you’re spectating, simply park your car in the car park and make your way to the credentials office to purchase your ticket. If you’re looking a bit OLD you may be asked to show ID that proves you are 25 or under to obtain the discounted $10 spectator ticket. If you actually are OLD, you’ll have to purchase a standard spectator entry ticket, the cost is $20.
If you’re competing in the Liqui Moly Young Guns Burnout Series, pull up outside the credentials office and head inside to collect your competition entry form. Follow the directions to the scrutineering bay. Competition entry for 25yo’s and under is just $30 or $60 for anyone older. All cars entering the competition must pass a scrutineering inspection and remember, if you’re driving your car to and from the track, make sure you have a decent set of tyres to get home on.
You don’t need a roll cage or safety harness in the vehicle to enter a burnout comp. A standard street registered vehicle will typically pass a scrutineering inspection if it has been maintained. A helmet is not a safety requirement, although their use is encouraged.
Competitors and one passenger are allowed in each burnout car when competing, both must have clothing that covers their body down to the wrists and ankles; and be wearing fully enclosed shoes. If you need a helmet, they can be sourced at Heathcote Park for a few dollars rental.
Gates open at 4.00pm for scrutineering, Competition starts at 5.00pm on 28th January.
Heathcote Park Raceway is Victoria’s leading regional motorsport facility located just 25km south of Bendigo, off the McIvor Highway. Built in 1975 the venue has hosted some of Australia’s largest Drag Racing events and features one of the oldest and longest Quarter Mile Drag Strips in the country, as well as a championship length Quarter Mile Speedway Complex, a 2.3km Off Road Racing Complex, dual lane Mud Racing Course, MotoX Complex and comprehensive Pit, Garaging and Camping facilities.
