With Group 2 licence in hand, Pullen is ready for Winternationals Super Sedan showdown.

Queensland’s Jodanna Pullen will return to her ‘grass roots’ at this weekend’s FUCHS Winternationals – the largest championship drag race held outside of the United States – at Willowbank Raceway across June 7-10.

Racing in the group 3 Super Sedan bracket at the wheel of her VC 308 cubic inch Pro Street Holden Commodore, Jodanna is motivated to be back in the drivers seat after completing her ‘group 2’ licensing last month and enjoying a continuing ‘R & D’ period on her new project, the VZ Holden Monaro which is destined for the Super Stock bracket.

“I will be keeping my racing craft sharp by competing at the FUCHS Winternationals in my Commodore in Super Sedan – returning to my roots at one of the most ‘traditional’ events on the calendar sounds pretty great to me,” said Pullen.

“I know I have the number one car in its class back in the garage but racing with the Commodore feels like the right step at this stage of the year.

“The Super Sedan bracket is in my opinion one of the most challenging and competitive classes to race in, and with the FUCHS Winternationals demanding not just the best of its cars but also its driver and their entire team, it is a spectacular stop for the series where the fastest car is not always the winning car.”

With a vision and hard work ethic to develop her racing, Jodanna is working behind the scenes under the mentorship of 2012 FUCHS Winternationals Pro Stock winner Shane Tucker, and his father, well-known drag racing identity Rob Tucker.

A 5ft 5” blonde ‘pocket rocket’, at first look Pullen is far from what the average person would imagine a drag racer or mining professional to be, but she has never let that stop her in the pursuit of her goals.

After announcing her intentions for the Super Stock category earlier this year, Pullen has been pleased to welcome Komatsu and Deeson Heavy Lift Pty Ltd as team sponsors while continuing to seek additional support for her upcoming program.

“I have been so excited to be able to welcome Komatsu and Deeson Heavy Lift Pty Ltd on board as fantastic supporters of the FemRPM team,” said Pullen.

Now successfully licensed, Jodanna is undertaking an ‘R and D’ program for the remainder of the 2012/2013 drag racing season ahead of a scheduled debut at the national level in 2014 which should see her become the only female competitor in the bracket.
