Shane Tucker has made his first hit at a drag strip in the USA, but little problems hampered the Auzmet Architectural team in testing at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park.

After overcoming water in the fuel and then no working tachometer, Shane finally got to do a burnout and a launch.

Unfortunately the ‘rental’ Cobalt broke an exhaust spring on the start line, but Tucker did get a .009 reaction time for his troubles and a chance to put the car through the low gears.

“All in all a good start, clutch and ratios are close I think. We will be better tomorrow,” Tucker said. “Wasn’t perfect but the clutch was around the money and it’s all in one piece.”

Images with thanks to the Tucker clan.
