Brothers Aaron and Tyronne Tremayne are ready to fire at the Fuchs Winternationals after rebuilding not one, but two damaged engines.

The Queensland duo qualified first and second at the X-Champs in Sydney with eldest brother and four-time Pro Stock Champion Aaron going on to claim the ANDRA Gold Christmas Tree and the 2014 points lead.

That result was in spite of damage sustained to two engines meaning the Tremaniac Racing team faced a scramble to replace parts ahead of the biggest event of the year.

“We have rebuilt both damaged engines,” said Tremayne. “A big thanks goes to our USA suppliers Diamond, Carrilo and Total Seal for their commitment in supplying in a record time with the parts to rebuild.

“We hope we are ready, the Winter Warm-up will be our proof.”

Tremaniac will put both Pontiac GXPs through their paces at the Winternationals Warm Up event at Willowbank Raceway this weekend but next week, if the conditions are right, Aaron Tremayne is expecting a quick Pro Stock field with a full compliment of 16 racers vying for the Winternationals crown.

“It depends on the weather, if the weather is good and we have the conditions to go fast you will see plenty of sixes,” he said.

“Definitely the field will be fast and it wouldn’t surprise me if you saw a field from the mid 6.90s to mid to high seven second region.

“The Winters is the event of the year and I believe that all racers have this view just not us Queenslanders.

“We love to race at Willowbank, it’s an awesome track and our home track and we miss not racing here. We need more meetings at Willowbank.”

The Fuchs Winternationals will be held across the Queen’s Birthday long weekend (Thursday 5 June to Sunday 8 June 2014), with 430 racers from all across the country and New Zealand to compete in front of approximately 30,000 spectators across the four days.
