The Desert Nationals presented by Supercheap Auto and Shannons Insurance at Alice Springs Inland Dragway this past weekend was the site of four new 660 feet national records, the first to be set in Northern Territory.

Desert Nationals Super Comp winner Wayne Keys reset both ends of the AA/AP record with a 3.994 ET and 188.28 mph. The previous marks were set at 4.04 seconds and 187.00 mph.

On his first foray outside of the Perth Motorplex, Jake Chaisty went all the way to the Super Comp final resetting both ends of the H/MSA national record with a 5.939 ET and 114.80 mph. Previously both records were set at 6.04 and 112.00 mph.

Congratulations to both teams and the ASID track crew in what was a great weekend of racing in the desert!
