Meguiar’s MotorEx is Australia’s most prestigious car show, only accepting the best of the best of the country’s show cars for display. A number of drag racers also used the event to showcase their latest creations.

The most stunning was Queen St Racing’s gold plated quad rotor M3 BMW, it may not be very practical for the strip, but you must respect the effort involved in creating the stunning sight, all gold plating is 24 carat and covers the majority of the vehicle.

Anthony Maatouk chose the event for the public debut of his new VL Super Compact weapon, the RB30 powered VL built by JL Racecars will be a serious threat to the AA/SM record books. Ben Gatt has given his famed Ford coupe a makeover which was also on display along with Peter Xiberras’ immaculate Supercharged Outlaws dragster and Trick & Mansweto had their own trade display as well.

Check out the gallery for photos of these and many of best show cars Australia has to offer.
