Rod Bailey's Chemical Warfare might have missed the quickest Funny Car field in NHRA history but there is no shame for Bailey or driver Anthony Begley who are living the dream in the USA.

On the team's first run on the second day of qualifying at Las Vegas, the blower belt broke which left them with one shot. Tyre smoke killed the second run of the day and that was all she wrote for Chemical Warfare at The Strip.

The team were interviewed by the NHRA and are now looking forward to Pomona's World Finals.

“We haven’t made as many passes as we’d like in Australia, so we’re coming here for the experience,” said Begley. “If we qualify, that would be great, but we’re just excited to run. The car has gone as quick as 4.30 in testing and gone .880 to 60-foot, so it has all the makings. We just need more laps.”
