Atura Blacktown NSW Championship Series heats up for round two

The Atura Blacktown NSW Championship Series returns to Sydney Dragway this weekend, with round 2 of the championship attracting a huge entry list.

Almost 200 racers have signalled their intentions to contest one of the hardest fought local championships in the country, ranging from the future stars of the sport racing in J & C Mowers Junior Dragster to the new-for-2017 category, Pro Extreme featuring Pro Slammer style cars with any power combination, meaning 5 second runs at over 400 kph will be commonplace.

With 8 rounds of the ATURA NSW Championship this year, every round win will be vital for those racer chasing the ultimate title on the NSW Drag Racing calendar. The event this weekend sees racers travelling from all corners of NSW, as well as several from interstate.

There will also be nitro in the air for fans, with “The General” Outlaw Nitro Funny Car of the Schultz family an early entrant for this event.

There is something for everyone at this event from fast sedans, very quick motorcycles and full competition cars alike.

The action kicks off at 9 am with qualifying and elimination racing scheduled to start at approximately 3 pm. Adult tickets are $25 including pit access and FREE parking, Kids under 12 FREE!
