Con Sideris has announced their new “PRE/Goldfingers Pro-Stock Team” .
Mr. Raymond Bartlett, a prominent and successful Melbourne businessman whom Con and George Sideris have had a long-standing relationship with for many years, has offered his full support and commitment for the next two years.
Mr. Bartlett offered to provide the financial assistance to build a new and competitive Pro Stock team.
“I have known George and Con Sideris for over 10 years, and their character is unassailable. I had no hesitation in committing my full support to them both,” said Bartlett.
“They are dedicated, loyal, of the highest integrity and committed to success. I am proud to be part of their future success,” he said
“We are humbled and extremely grateful of Mr. Bartlett’s support, commitment and gracious offer to assist us,” commented a thankful Con Sideris.
Andrew Stavroulakis, who has had a 10-year relationship with PRE, has also committed to be the driver for the new team.
Andrew is of steadfast character and integrity. He has had a professional and personal relationship with Con & PRE Race Engines in the past. His previous Pro Stock Ford Escort was the first Pro Stock car in Australia to run in the teens and surpass the 190mph milestone.
“I am keen to build on this past success with this new team. We have an experienced crew that knows how to win,” stated Andrew.
New car blues hampered the debut of their new PRE-Goldfingers Stratus Pro-Stock Car in September 2010 for the Fuchs Nationals at Sydney Dragway.
“We had a few issues to contend with which in the end were minor. Some rigorous testing in the next two months will definitely iron out the bugs. It has shown us it has plenty of potential in these early stages of testing with the next evolution of this motor” said team owner Con Sideris.
“I’ve always approached my racing with the will to win and be successful and this team will prove to do just that.”
George Sideris will share the responsibilities of managing this new team with his brother Con.
“This is a new challenge for me which I have grasped with both hands,” remarked George.
