Hot Rod Rumble a laid back day

The inaugural Western Hot Rod Rumble saw a laid back and enjoyable event at Perth Motorplex.

The Street Rod fraternity took a cruisy approach to the day with racing combined with show.

Great racing took place and there was spectacular eye candy in the pit paddock, but the show stopper was the cruise held in the break between the end of qualifying and the start of eliminations.

That alone was worth the price of admission as some of the best Street Machines (nothing post 70s) and some wicked Rods stretched for over two kilometres.

While there were winners and runners up in the four eliminators contested – it was really about chillin’ out with a bunch of guys and gals who shared the same passion.

Eliminations:

Winner – Steve Houlahan

Runner Up – Mal Pollard

Hot Rod (open)
