The naming rights partnership covered the Doorslammers of Ben Bray and US racing star Frankie Taylor as well as the iconic 1957 Chevy Slammer of Victor Bray, two burnout cars, and Ben’s Sport Compact Toyota Solara.

With the end of the highly-respected team’s season also came the conclusion of this partnership between two great organisations, with team principal Victor Bray thanking Gulf Western Oil for all of their support.

“It has been a great two and a half years representing Gulf Western Oil all around the country not only as drag racing events but also through burnout shows at events, the GW Nitro Thunder and other local shows and appearances at Expos, agricultural shows and more.

“When Gulf Western Oil came on board Australian drag racing was facing some challenges and we remain ever thankful to this great Aussie-owned company for getting behind us in the changeable environment. Their commitment and support has always been greatly appreciated.

“We of course wish them all the best moving forward – Gulf Western Oil are great supporters of drag racing and we greatly look forward to seeing them at the May 2020 Nitro Champs and the June 2020 Winternationals, where they will continue as event naming rights partners.”

“We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors, including associate sponsors Century, Gates, Speedflow and NGK for their ongoing support.”
