For Atlantic Oils, the naming rights sponsor for this weekend’s East Coast Thunder at Sydney Dragway, all signs are pointing towards a stellar event for the first-time event sponsor.

After being involved with Rapisarda Autosport International for 8 years as an associate partner culminating in 4 championship victories, and various other primary and associate sponsorships across many disciplines of motorsport, Atlantic Oils were looking to grow their presence trackside.

Primary Industry and Sponsorship Manager Suzanne Lazar said today: “Sponsorships are not always about winning or losing. It is about the journey. We have worked closely with Rusty Gregory and Peter Beaumont from Sydney Dragway to formulate a solid plan as to how to leverage a major partnership such as naming rights for one of the most prestigious events on the drag racing calendar.

“Using the plan we have put together with Sydney Dragway, we are now expecting in excess of 2,000 customers and clients to attend the event as guests of Atlantic Oils. This is a rare opportunity to “own” an event; we have committed to a major branding exercise and we hope that the race fans enjoy what we have done to help bring excitement to the Atlantic Oils East Coast Thunder.”

“The activity and promotion leading up to the event has been fantastic. With Atlantic Oils head office located in the Campbelltown area, we have seen ads for the event on the back of all the buses in the area. We have also seen it advertised on TV & Radio, and have heard from our clients in Sydney’s West that there has been plenty of coverage in the local newspapers as well as the awesome social media schedule that Sydney Dragway has put together,” Lazar concluded.

With the Atlantic Oil East Coast Thunder attracting strong entries and spectator pre-sale tickets, it is expected that this is going to live up to expectations as one of the premier events on the Sydney Dragway Calendar.

Tickets are on sale now at SydneyDragway.com.au or are available at the gate. Gates open at 8.30am each day with racing from 9.30 and 400 Thunder Professional Categories on track for their first qualifier at 2.30 pm Friday, with the first round of eliminations scheduled for 2 pm Saturday.
