400 Thunder has announced an initial seven event Professional category 400 Thunder championship calendar for the coming 2018-2019 racing season but has signalled extra events are likely to be added.

Australian Professional Drag Racing President, Tony Wedlock said, “While we are still looking at other opportunities for extra rounds, it’s important that racers and fans can plan for the upcoming season so we didn’t want to delay releasing the calendar of the seven events we have locked in. The 400 Thunder Professional Series experienced record performances and very strong growth in spectator numbers last year and we expect this to continue across the coming season. All rounds of the championship will again be broadcast live on OVO Mobile’s OVO Play platform.”

The series commences this coming weekend at Hidden Valley Drag Strip’s Nitro up North event. In Pro Slammer defending champion Paul Mouhayet will be facing a very strong line up of challengers as he attempts to get his title defence off to a successful start. Top Bike is going to see a V-Twin versus multi-cylinder battle as Jay Upton and Chris Matheson face a number of Harley Davidson riders including former champion Mark Drew.

Round two of the 400 Thunder Series will be hosted by Sydney Dragway on November 2-3 with all six Professional categories competing for championship points at the event.
