Bob Godfrey Racing and Steve Easton have once again teamed up to lay down some winning numbers on the Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, California at the Good Vibrations Motorsports March Meet. This Trans-Pacific partnership is built on horsepower, with Bob behind the butterflies and Australian born Easton in the hot seat of Godfrey's ‘72 Cuda Nitro Fuel Coupe.
The "Burnin’ Money" team is pushing to continue the ground shaking performance they found at the California Hot Rod Reunion last October. In qualifying Easton’s 5.77 / 5.78 landed him the number five spot, from there the Godfrey Racing Team stepped it up and left their mark in the Reunion history books.
Throughout the racing season’s winter hibernation period, the “Burnin’ Money” Team was vigorously upgrading the fiberglass flopper to squeeze out every last ounce of nitro horsepower it had to give. Pre-season testing revealed some significant performance promises which stimulated huge levels of excitement within the team, Easton’s anticipating qualifying strong on race day at the biggest Funny Car race in the world.
