29th October QDRC Finals 2016 99

Mark Allan Racing and KPM Performance Engines - a new company that can provide innovative engine programs for any budget - have been announced as a new partner and supporter to the race team.

“Kevin Morton from KPM Performance Engines understands my requirements as a sportsman racer, and that continual strive for a fast, consistent race engine program. It was an easy decision to go into partnership with Kevin and KPM,” said Mark Allan.

After a successful 2016 campaign with a second place finish in the Queensland Drag Racing Championship series, this new relationship will hopefully propel the team further.

“We always race to win, as cliché as it is, we take it round by round, and if we are consistent, the driver is hitting the tree, we will win more rounds than we lose. Kev is very smart and he’s always looking at the data, trying to find that hundredth or thousandth of a second consistency for us.”

The 2017 season has started well for the team with a runner up in the first event for the Queensland Drag Racing Championships.

“This is the best start we have had to a season in the dragster. We are looking to carry this momentum into the next event, and keep the points ticking over,” said Mark Allan.

The next event for the KPM Performance Engines team will be the second round of the Queensland Drag Racing Championships March 18th at Willowbank Raceway.
