We teased Brendon Luke’s new Procharged altered recently, and now it has hit the track in full beast mode.

The Richard Botica-built altered runs an engine combination similar to what is commonly seen in NHRA Top Dragsters with a BK Race Engines prepped 604ci Predator Indy Max supplied by Race MAX Direct fitted with a F-1X-12 Procharger fed by an APD carb and fuel system.

The altered sounded like an animal in the first burnout but as is common with new builds, gremlins weaved their way into system and a fuel pump seal expired, leaving the team to spend the majority of the day frantically trying to source and repair the problem.

The team managed a launch in the early evening before continued problems with the fuel system thwarted any more attempts.

The plan is for the car to head to Willowbank for the Gulf Western Oil Winternationals next with mid sixes the goal once sorted and the capability to go a lot quicker than that when Brendon is comfortable enough to turn the boost up.
