Australian Top Fuel driver Mark Mariani unfortunately failed to qualify for the NHRA World Finals in Pomona, California.
Mariani, who made it to the second round of the Las Vegas Nationals two weeks ago, ran a best time of 4.05 over the 1000 feet distance but it was not enough to make the tough 3.93 bump spot, qualifying him 21 out of 26 cars.
While disappointing, the team deserves plenty of credit for what they achieved on their big trip and Drag News passes on its congratulations.
