Hidden Valley trackwork update

It’s time for another update on what’s happening with the upgrades to Hidden Valley and we’re not going to be disappointed.

All the concrete works have been done and the final shot blasting is kicking off this weekend. The start line area is looking amazing now the covers are off and the level of finish is fantastic.

The burnout pad is still moving along with a couple more retaining wall panels still to go in before more work on the three tiers of the spectator hill can be finished. With new grass and irrigation in the terraced area it’s sure to be a relaxing spot for many a spectator to sit in coming years.

Down track and the bitumen is still to be put down but in the meantime the safety gate for the fire crew has gone in. This is one big gate but is surprisingly easy to roll open.

A full line up of construction photos will be on display at the 2010 Christmas Party including many shots that have never been seen before.
