The Night of Fire at Perth Motorplex was something of a new concept to the track as they added some exhibitions to track championship racing to bring in some new fans.

Veteran Funny Car racer Peter Russo’s long awaited return to Australian drag racing has been delayed with the forced cancellation of this weekend’s second round of Willowbank Raceway’s New Year Series.

The  largest field of Top Doorslammers ever seen at Melbourne’s Calder Park Raceway are lining up to contest the Australian Eighth Mile Doorslammer Championships on January 22 and 23.

Northern Territory drag racer, Matt Abel, will again make the long trek south to Melbourne to compete in the True Blue event at Calder Park on Saturday and Sunday, January 22-23.
