Willowbank Raceway hosted the first stand alone round of the 400 Thunder Sportsman Series with around 120 racers taking to the track for points as the inaugural season head towards finality.

Pro Stock standout Shane Tucker will return to the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series this season with his Auzmet Architectural/Rob Tucker Racing Chevrolet Camaro. The Australian racer plans to join the competition for seven races in 2016.
