The 2017 edition of Nitro Up North was a major success for Darwin’s Hidden Valley Drag Strip, attracting record crowds to the opening of the 400 Thunder and Summit Sportsman Series drag racing championships.
Racing in front of a track record crowd, Lucas Oil’s Gary Phillips claimed victory at Darwin’s Hidden Valley Drag Strip for the second consecutive year in his 1953 Studebaker Pro Slammer.
Springmount Raceway and Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car management have regrettably decided to cancel the event that was due to be held on Saturday, August 5.
