The Brisbane Jamboree is well underway with some spectacular qualifying day action. Check out our gallery and who ran what in qualifying with racing for the J-trophy set for Sunday.


Frank Tarabay heads a strong Factory Xtreme field with a 5.96 in the 2JZ Scion over Collin Willshire doing it with the four cylinder Eclipse cracking a 6.32 at 224MPH. Some big hitters in Anthony Maatouk and Dom Rigoli yet to drop a number. Qualifying was marred by a heavy crash involving Tony Wedlock that saw his 2JZ Solara leave the groove, before turning hard left and going into a barrel roll at 200MPH. Wedlock was able to climb out of the wreck and taken to hospital to be checked over before being released.


Jay Sadek sits on top in Pro Turbo with a 6.72 with the 20B RX3, and in the smaller capacity Pro Compact class, Steve Barnett is back and on top with a 6.78 out of his 13B Mazda6.

Tony Bellert stamped his authority in Extreme and is on the cusp of running the first 5 second Barra powered pass in the world with his rail after cranking out a world record 6.05 at 237MPH.
