The nation’s premier import and lifestyle event will burst into life this weekend at Willowbank Raceway with more than 280 entrants already signed up to take part.

The Brisbane Jamboree, to be held across Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September 2013 at Queensland’s premier drag racing facility, will host a wide range of activities including on-track drag racing, two show and shines, dyno and sound-off competitions and more.

More than 280 entrants have already taken advantage of the pre-event online entry option for this massive weekend, signing up to take part in a range of activities from on-track drag racing to off-track competitions.

Jamboree organiser Ray Box said the 23rd running of the popular automotive event is expected to host around 10,000 spectators over its two days.

“As the final preparations fall into place for this weekend’s Brisbane Jamboree at Willowbank Raceway, the entry list is really starting to build thanks to our pre-entry option,” said Box.

“With a wide array of racers including some world-beating performers such as Scott Porter and his Nissan Infinity (currently the quickest and fastest Nissan-powered Nissan in the world) and PAC Performance’s George Rehayem (quickest and fastest rotary in the world) the 10,000 plus spectators we are expecting across the weekend will not be disappointed.

“The fans can expect to see cars of every shape and size on the track, competing in the sound-off and on the dyno machine, and on-show in the paddock for their viewing pleasure across two days of high-octane festivities.

“And it won’t just be the cars setting pulses racing, with the Matt Mingay motorcycle stunt show and the Miss Jamboree competition also on the program.”

The 2013 Brisbane Jamboree will be held at Willowbank Raceway on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September 2013. An action-packed two day program will include on-track drag racing; two amazing show and shines – the Just Car Insurance New School Show-n-Shine for post-1985 vehicles (Saturday) and the Shannons Old School Show-n-Shine for pre-1985 vehicles (Sunday); a dyno competition; sound-off competition; stage shows; trade displays; club and manufacturer displays; the Miss Jamboree competition and the Matt Mingay motorcycle stunt show.

Tickets start at just $35.00 (adult one day admission) with students with ID gaining discounted entry and children 13 and under receiving free entry. For more information, including ticket price details and an event schedule, go to www.jamboree.com.au
