The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars are on their way back to Perth Motorplex this weekend to take on the best of the West in the BME Nitro Max series. Leading the charge for the Aeroflow stables will be Josh Leahy in the Bandit Pontiac Trans Am.
Having made his debut at the Perth Motorplex in 2018 with a podium finish, Josh is excited to get back West
“The Bandit has had some great success over the last couple of events and we can’t wait to see what can be achieved this weekend at Perth Motorplex,” Leahy said.
“The Motorplex always gives us a killer track, and we know that the Nitro Max competitors are going to be tough, it’s their home track, and I think they will be doing anything to show us how its done.”
Having spent his entire nitro career racing against funny cars, the accountant from Canberra is excited at the potential opportunity to race against the fuel altereds of Shannon Taylor and James Kemp.
“What I like about the Nitro Max show is the diversity, and to go up against two pretty quick fuel altereds will be fun, hopefully I’m in front, and won’t see to much of them during the run.” Leahy joked.
The popular Aeroflow Pit Party will be on from 4:00pm ahead of 3 rounds of nitro racing.
“I love it, the Pit Party allows you to get up close and personal to all of the Nitro Max cars and drivers, there is face painting, kids activities and heaps more. Its cool to be able to talk to all the young kids and families who come along to watch us race,” beamed Leahy.
