While the weather destroyed what was shaping up as a record setting Sydney Jamboree, a few racers made the most of the preceding test days including Collin Willshire who raised the four cylinder bar in Australia once again with the Jett Racing Mitsubishi Eclipse.
It was a bittersweet weekend for Willshire, who is the promoter of the Sydney Jamboree that was once again hit hard by Mother Nature. However in pristine testing condition on the days prior Willshire uncorked the 4G63 powered Factory Xtreme Mitsubishi Eclipse to a record setting 6.172 at 229MPH to set a new Australian record for a four-cylinder, and is the world’s quickest Mitsubishi.
It was a shame we never had the chance on race day to see the wick turned up even more.
