KING KONG SET TO CRUSH FACTORY XTREME

With 2024 Brisbane Jamboree just a few days away Tarabay Brothers Racing have unveiled their newest animal to do battle in Factory Xtreme warfare, a 2JZ beast named King Kong.

If the car and name looks familiar, you would be right. The chassis started life as the late Frank Brandao’s Pro Nitrous King Kong 7 Dodge Dart that was driven by the Lizzy Musi who also passed away tragically earlier this year, and the Tarabay Brothers have kept the livery and name in honour of the Street Outlaws star Musi.

CV Performance were tasked with decking the chassis out as a Toyota Camry in Australia, with chassis work completed by ProFab, all ready to handle the horsepower output of a Titan Motorsports USA supplied 2JZ powerplant that will also be tuned by the guys from CV Performance.

Frank Tarabay strapped into the driver’s seat last weekend at Sydney Dragway for the car’s first shakedown, already clocking a 6.26/228MPH early shut off pass to tease King Kong’s potency. This weekend’s Brisbane Jamboree will see King Kong unleashed, and try to crush the Factory Xtreme competition for the first time at Willowbank Raceway.
