LTFR ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS FOR THE 2024 SEASON

Lamattina Top Fuel Racing (LTFR) has made the decision to sit out the upcoming Spring Nationals in Adelaide for a very special reason—the entire Lamattina family will be celebrating the wedding of Phil Lamattina’s son, Rocky Lamattina. With family being a cornerstone of the team’s values, the decision to prioritise this important event was an easy one for Phil and the team.

In addition to this, LTFR is excited to announce that their Top Fuel Dragster has been relocated to the family farm in Wemen, where it will be housed and maintained in a brand new workshop. This move will allow the team to perform all maintenance and preparation at the farm, in a space they’ve customised to meet their needs for the rest of the season.

LTFR has also decided to skip the Willowbank Raceway event, focusing their energy on the March event at the Perth Motorplex. The team plans to return to the track with full force for the final four rounds of the season. After an intense few years of non-stop competition, the team has decided that taking a brief break will be key to long-term success.

“We’ve been racing hard for over four years now, and it’s time to take a bit of a breather,” said team owner Phil Lamattina. “All the teams, not just ours, could benefit from a little downtime to regroup and refresh. It’s about making sure we’re prepared to come back stronger, ready for the next season and the challenges it’ll bring.”

Phil also emphasised the unwavering support from their key sponsors, FUCHS Lubricants and R&J Batteries, throughout this period. “We’re really lucky to have the full backing of FUCHS and R&J. They’ve been with us for so long, and their support makes it easier for us to make these decisions without worrying about the bigger picture. They know we’ll come back even stronger.”

Aaron Hambridge and Dean Rossiter will continue to oversee tuning and race day procedures when the team returns to competition. Their expertise will ensure that the LTFR Dragster is ready to hit the track at full throttle when the team is back in action.

“We’re taking this time to reset, recharge, and come back refreshed,” Phil added. “When we hit the track again, we’ll be focused on winning and finishing the season on a high note. This is just a pit stop for us—we’ll be back, and we’ll be ready.”
