The PDRC and specialist Drag Racing production house Overtaking Lane (OTL) today confirmed that they will be partnering across the 2024-25 PDRC Season to bring live professional drag racing to the masses with a live and free stream of the racing action.

Starting with Round One from Sydney Dragway, overtaking lane will cover all the race-day action utilising expertise gained from years streaming events such as The Kenda 660 Drag Racing Series, The Jamboree Series and more recently the Queensland Drag Racing Championships.

OTL will work in using the existing venue infrastructure spliced with manned and unmanned cameras ensuring that every inch of the action will be covered, with “PDRC Minis” to be post produced after each PDRC event for each Pro Category, and will be made available free on YouTube for the coming season.

Pre-recorded interviews and features will also be a highlight of the PDRC Coverage.

PDRC Owner Jason Hedges was enthusiastic about the new partnership, saying, “Dave and his team have honed their skills for years, and have proven themselves time and time again delivering a quality product for fans to enjoy.”

“I’m looking forward to working alongside Dave to tell the story of our PDRC racers throughout the coming season. I believe that streaming is the future and the best way to engage a new generation of fans to drag racing.”

The Sydney Dragway coverage will be anchored by experienced Motorsports Host Matt Cavanagh alongside 20-year commentary veteran Rusty Gregory, who both bring a wealth of experience in Drag Racing Broadcasting and TV production.

Overtaking Lane owner Dave Hamilton can’t wait to begin production. “The vision that Jason and his team have for the PDRC is so exciting,” enthused Hamilton. “To receive the phone call offering to be a huge part of the PDRC is exciting and I can tell that the 2024-25 season is going to be one to remember.”

The PDRC + OTL partnership is also a win for Sportsman racers who will benefit from the increased visibility online, with the NSW Championship Series Grand Finals also featuring heavily within the race day coverage from Sydney Dragway.

Streaming platforms will be confirmed in the lead up to the race but the PDRC is committed to bringing the racing to fans live and free, with accessibility at the forefront of all decision making.
