Sydney Dragway is now a dual-sanction venue after signing an agreement with the Australian National Drag Racing Association to return ANDRA sanction to the venue, this now allows either IHRA and ANDRA sanctioned events to be held at Sydney Dragway.
ANDRA issued the following statement today on the agreement:
After a period of negotiation, ANDRA is pleased to announce that it has finalised the terms of a sanctioning agreement with Sydney Dragway.
“This is an excellent result for ANDRA and our members in Sydney and New South Wales, and increases our national footprint,” ANDRA CEO, Tim McAvaney, said.
“We look forward to continuing to work closely with the Sydney Dragway management to establish exciting ANDRA-sanctioned events.”
The agreement, like ANDRA’s agreement with Dragway at The Bend, sees Sydney Dragway operated under dual sanctions.
