In a bold move ahead of this weekend’s Gulf Western Oil Nitro Champs, Sydney’s Nick Pelliccotti – Business owner of Guilford Sand & Soil – has joined forces with Tremaniac Racing ensuring no stone is left unturned in his pursuit of a strong performance at Round 3 of the PRDC Pro Stock Championship.
The partnership comes after a twist of fate overseas. Several weeks ago veteran engine builder Rob Tucker sustained a leg injury in the U.S. leaving the status of Pelliccotti’s engine – which was undergoing a refresh at Tucker’s facility – uncertain. With time running out and the possibility of missing crucial licensing passes looming, Shane Tucker stepped in to orchestrate a solution.
Tucker reached out to his close mate, 9-time Australian Pro Stock Champion Aaron Tremayne, to assist in sourcing a race-ready engine. The result, not only does Pelliccotti now have a proven powerplant under the hood, but he also gains the tuning expertise of one of the most respected minds in the Pro Stock arena.
The Tremaniac team has been hard at work fitting the engine at their Brisbane facility, with the car now prepared for the Nitro Champs Pelliccotti expressed deep gratitude for the combined effort.
“I’m incredibly thankful to Shane for pulling this together, and to Kerry and Aaron for their support in getting the car turned around in time. We’re ready,” said Team Owner Pelliccotti.
With a potent engine package and elite tuning behind team, Shane Tucker will be slotted in to steer the GXP at the Nitro Champs, positioning the team as a serious dark horse heading into Sydney.
“Having Shane in the driver’s seat is huge for us,” said Pellicciotti. “His experience and commitment to the sport make him the perfect fit for our team. We’re not just here to race – we’re here to compete.”
