2025 Winternationals Champion Rob Harrington is stepping up his program to hopefully include more competition in 2026.

Harrington was the ultimate underdog winner at the Winternationals in 2025. Competing in his first event for the season, Harrington not only qualified in a tough 16 car field but carved his way through the illustrious competition to win the event, defeating the back to back National Champion in the final to cap it off.
“Whilst we won the Winternationals our lacklustre ET left us wanting more which we knew was in the car,” he explains.

The team’s next outing was in Outlaw Pro Mod at the Brisbane Jamboree several months later.
“We hurt the motor at Jamboree due to a parts failure due to age so we are rebuilding currently. The car showed some very very promising numbers before the blower decided it wanted to meet the moon. Woulda coulda shoulda, you know the drill,” Harrington added.
Harrington’s plan currently is to head out for a test session in March or April to weed out any little bugs that may have raised their heads as they’re slightly changing the engine combo. Rob Harrington Motorsport are hoping to get to a few more rounds in Top Doorslammer next year to bolster the class which they can see is growing exponentially.

“We have have a good foundation now and a great data pool so we will keep chipping away to have a decent iron in the fire,” said Harrington.
“Amongst all of this we are also currently in the process of starting a build on a new transporter which will make long distance travel a more viable option from where we are based here in Emerald.
“I’m just a high voltage linesman, we will rock up as much as possible within the limited budget pending picking up any sponsors. Either way we’re excited about the future of Doorslammer and our part in it.”
