Calder Park Raceway has launched into a new era of ANDRA sanctioned drag racing with the first Off Street meeting being held under the tracks new management spearheaded by Peter Pisalidis.
Over 1000 spectators and 116 cars rocked up for the return of off street racing and these numbers are guaranteed to grow once the word spread Calder is back. Unfortunately Melbourne’s temperamental weather put a slight dampener on the event ending it prematurely, but racers can return on a fortnightly basis at this stage for another skid.
With the first of the ANDRA Test and Tunes approaching we should see dormant race cars being dusted off, some old names return along with hopefully many new ones.
