On the eve of the 2026 NSW Championship Series, meet your newly crowned 2025 Sydney Dragway Track Champions, who will return to defend their titles across an eight-round campaign this season.

Rain sadly took an axe to what was shaping as a climatic conclusion to last year’s championship chase. The penultimate round was washed out after Q1, before the Grand Final was ultimately cancelled due to the wet stuff — not an engine was fired.

With the calendar year running out, the series was officially called, and the track champions were crowned based on the points standings at the time.

Son of a gun and third generation racer Kurtis Read powered his blown dragster to the win in Boosted Outlaws.

David Franks rode his Hayabusa rocket to the championship win Extreme Bike.

James Barnes capitalised on two event wins to hang on to the Top Sportsman title.

The hotly contested Modified championship saw Jess Turner and he dragster edge out George Bukureshliev’s FED thanks to a win in the last fully contested event.

Michael Milasiewicz made all the trips up the Hume from Victoria worth it, defeating the local Super Sedan guns for the championship.

Jessy Barnes made is a family double, emulating his father’s Top Sportsman win by taking the title in Modified Bike.

Long time Sydney Dragway Super Street racer Richard Matosevic held off a late season challenge from new-comer Sammy-Jo Johnson and young gun Denis Plessas.

With three event wins Joe Catanzariti won the championship tussle in Super Gas.

With two end of season event wins, Riley Eato romped away to the championship in Junior Dragster.

The new Junior Drag Bike championship went to Lincon Delios who finished the season with an impressive four final rounds winning three.

Shaun Dartnell drove the daily driver to a Street Fighter championship title.

In Street Bike, Robert Gielb blitzed the field with biggest winning points margin of all the brackets.
