LTFR smashed the South Coast Raceway track record not once, but twice over the weekend at the venue’s 20th Anniversary Spectacular. In a handy hit-out ahead of the opening round of the NDRC Top Fuel Championship in a few weeks’ time, the FUCHS Lubricants dragster laid down a blistering 3.33s pass before backing it up with an even quicker 3.261s at 219.41mph, resetting the track benchmark yet again.
“So we are back from South Coast Raceway and I think the magnitude of what we were able to achieve has finally sunk in!” said Phil Lamattina via Facebook.
“From a chat with President and now good friend Tim Parker we done the deal to get me down there for their 20 year anniversary, and man oh man can those guys and girls put on a show, from the minute the truck drove in the gate they rolled out the red carpet and the patronage never stopped till we drove out the gate at midnight. To my crew you guys and girls are the best I cannot do what I do without you and Dean Rossiter finally we have seen the rewards for all our hard work!”
