NEW ‘BUMBLEBEE’ CAMARO UNVEILED BY PAC RACING

PAC Racing has revealed its latest Pro Compact contender, a striking new ‘Bumblebee’ Camaro built around Rodney’s proven 13B rotary power combination.

The new machine is the result of more than 12 months of work behind the scenes, with Rodney and the team dedicating countless evenings and weekends to assembling the car while also assisting with repairs to the team’s RX9 after it’s accident at the Adelaide Jamboree.

Designed to pick up where the successful ‘La Ayre’ RX8 left off, the Camaro retains the team’s familiar 13B two-rotor powerplant paired with a seven-speed Liberty transmission. The combination has been enhanced with a range of upgrades aimed at improving both performance and consistency.

At the centre of the car’s control system is a MoTeC M150 ECU, equipped with the latest features and functions to help the team chase records while maintaining reliability on track.

Despite the scale of the project, the team managed to keep the build largely under wraps throughout the past year, with much of the public attention focused on the RX9 program. With the Camaro now complete, PAC Racing is eager to begin testing and show the car’s potential on the strip.

The team also acknowledged the efforts of those who helped bring the project together. Special thanks were extended to Custom Bodyworks for the paintwork, Gadget for electrical work, Thomas Fibreglass for the carbon components, and Connexion Concepts for the MoTeC programming. Appreciation was also given to Frangos for keeping the crew fed during late nights in the workshop, as well as sponsors Garrett Advancing Motion, VP Racing Fuels and Jetpac Design for their ongoing support.

With the wraps finally off the new Camaro, PAC Racing says it is looking forward to getting the ‘Bumblebee’ on track in the near future.
