As the 2025/2026 ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship prepares to reach its conclusion at Dragway at The Bend on April 18, the Ballistic Performance Parts Modified Bike field is shaping up as one of the most unpredictable and talent‑stacked battles of the Grand Finals.
With multiple riders arriving on the maximum points cap and several more still within striking distance, the stage is set for a showdown worthy of the season’s final chapter.
Reigning champion Dean Jamieson leads the charge into Tailem Bend on 300 points, determined to turn last year’s triumph into a back‑to‑back title.

“I am feeling fairly confident heading into the Grand Finals – we have a small gap on the rest of the field but are certainly feeling the pressure this year trying to back up last year’s performance,” Jamieson said.
“If we could come away with the win, well, it is hard enough to win one, but to win two ANDRA Championships, well that would be just mega!”
Sharing the points cap is two-time champ Bryan Finn, who has his sights set on a long‑pursued milestone.

“It is great to be heading into the Grand Final on the points cap, and I hope to secure that elusive third title I’ve been chasing for the last few years,” Finn said.
“I’m 100 percent sure I’ll finish in the top four. I wish my competitors the best of luck, and only time will tell who will be king on the day. Either way, I plan on having a great weekend,” he added, while taking the opportunity to thank his sponsors: ProSmith Overhauling, Deon McHugh Signs, Butlers Mechanical Service, and the Northern District Motorsport Association.
Also heading into April 18 on 300 points is Mathew Jones, who has surged into contention with strong late‑season form.

“The ANDRA Regional Sportsman Championship only being a few weeks away is exciting for me, as I’m on the points cap and sitting in third place with only 20 points between the top three,” Jones said.
“Coming runner‑up at the ANDRA Drag Racing Masters event in Sydney in January and then taking out the win at the NDRC Riverbend Nationals a few weekends ago has me feeling confident to try and take out the competition at the ANDRA Grand Finals.
“If I am able to win the championship, it would be an awesome achievement in only 18 months of my racing career.”
Just behind the capped trio is Rob Church on 290 points, followed by Ian Read (250), Derryn McGregor (210), and Jason White (200), all still capable of influencing the final outcome.
