After missing the last two NDRC Pro Alcohol Championship race meetings, Wayne Price Racing has been quietly focused on something much bigger than immediate results — building a stronger, more consistent race car for the future.

For the first time in probably 10 years or more, the team stepped back from racing to concentrate purely on the end goal: creating a combination capable of going from A to B consistently and reliably at the highest level of Pro Alcohol competition.
“We’ve always supported the Pro Alcohol bracket because the category has supported us,” said Wayne Price. “Missing races was not an easy decision, but we believed it was the right move for the long-term future of our program.”
As part of the next stage in the team’s development, Wayne Price Racing has officially begun the transition from a traditional clutch setup to a Tydrive combination — a major change aimed at improving consistency, drivability, and overall performance.
The change represents a significant investment in the future of the operation and highlights the team’s commitment to continuing to evolve in one of Australia’s toughest Group 1 categories.
Behind the scenes, the team has been hard at work fabricating and refining new components as part of the conversion process, with a strong focus on reliability, repeatability, and performance.

Wayne Price Racing would also like to acknowledge the incredible people who have contributed to making this next phase possible.
Jeff Cutajar has played a major role with advice and sourcing the Tydrive combination, helping guide the team through the transition process.
Greg Gower has been heavily involved in the research and development side of the project, investing countless hours into helping refine the new setup and direction of the program.
Mark Veigel has put so much of his own life on hold to help make this project happen, showing an incredible level of dedication and commitment to the team.

Trevor Horwood’s fabrication work throughout the conversion has been outstanding, producing high-level craftsmanship and custom components that have helped bring the entire project together.
Wayne Price Racing would also like to thank KCK Lubricants for their continued support as the team’s oil sponsor throughout this new phase of development.
“We feel like this is the next phase for Wayne Price Racing,” Price added. “The goal is to come back stronger, smarter, and more consistent than ever.”
While the team has been absent from the last two events, the focus remains firmly on returning to the track with a package capable of competing at the front of the field and continuing to push the Pro Alcohol category forward.
Wayne Price Racing looks forward to getting back on track soon and sharing the next chapter with fans, sponsors, and supporters who continue to back the team.
